UVU and BYU PRSSA Join to Give Students with Launch Your Career Event
Orem, UT – October 21, 2015 – All systems are go for UVU and BYU PRSSA members seeking to execrate their career preparation through resume development, personal social media best practices and networking opportunities at an event entitled: Launch Your Career. UVU PRSSA will host students, faculty and alumni from both universities Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2015, at 7 pm in UVU’s Sorensen Center, room 206 A, B and C.
“We enjoy providing students with the tools, resources and personal connections they will need to successfully begin the transition from pre-professional to professional in the competitive world of PR,” says UVU PRSSA president Micah Jensen. “Launch Your Career will move participating students a step closer to being ready for internship and job opportunities in the near future.”

Launch Your Career presenters will provide attendees with insight into the best practices from their relevant professional experience — presenting yourself professionally through social media channels, enhancing your resume, and finding and getting internships.
Among the attendees will be UVU public relations alumni that are currently working in public relations positions across Utah and Salt Lake counties. The night's events and networking will all be done over bottomless mocktail refreshments.
