UVU PRSSA Hosts “Nuggets of Wisdom”
Director of Innovation & New Ventures, LJ Yankosky from Chick-Fil-A., Inc
Orem, Utah, (September 1, 2016) – Public Relations Student Society of America at Utah Valley University is hosting the Director of Innovation & New Ventures from Chick-fil-A Corporate, L.J. Yankosky on Sept. 21, 2016. All students, alumni and faculty are invited to attend the event at 7p.m. in the UVU Classroom Building (CB) room number 510.

“I am thrilled to have Chick-Fil-A involved in our first event of the year,” said Britnee Nuehring, UVU PRSSA President. “I have always admired their public relations strategy as well as their customer-service techniques so it will be great to get some insights from one of their executives. Come out for a FANTASTIC night with PRSSA and one of our favorite cows!”
Yankosky’s presentation will focus on corporate communication and innovation with a portion of the night dedicated to Q&A. The event will be live tweeted on the UVU PRSSA Twitter account for those who are unable to attend @uvuprssa / #PRSSAlovesCHICKFILA.
Yankosky is director of Innovation & New Ventures at Chick-fil-A, Inc. He oversees a team whose focus is to help Chick-fil-A be more convenient to customers. They do this through developing new and innovative efforts accompanied by emerging societal and technological trends. In Yankosky’s previous role at Chick-fil-A, he was responsible for leading the teams with partnerships with the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, College Football Playoff, Chick-fil-A Leader Academy high-school leadership program, College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience.

About UVU PRSSA:
UVU’s chapter of PRSSA was established in October of 2009. In a short seven years, their chapter has more than 140 active students within their university and has received local, state and national recognition. By 2013 they had received the National Outstanding Chapter award. More about L.J. Yankosky:
Yankosky graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. From there, he continued his education by performing research for NASA under a research grant for his master’s degree at Georgia Tech. Yankosky is also a former professional baseball player, and played four years for various professional teams.
