This citation is awarded to PRSSA students who have demonstrated outstanding work in contributing to the society and the field of Public Relations. In order to receive this award, the president must possess impressive leadership and professional skills, have a strong understanding of PRSSA and be an active member in both their chapter and on the national level.

“I am honored to have been chosen for it,” President Draper said when asked about his reaction to receiving the award.

In describing the application process, Draper said, “I was required to write an essay to demonstrate how I have made a lasting mark on PRSSA at the Chapter and National Level. One thing that stood out to me when applying was how incredibly remarkable our chapter is.”

Wade Draper is a senior at Utah Valley University and has been active in the Public Relations field for the past couple of years. In the 2016-2017 school year he served as VP of Advocacy on the UVU PRSSA Executive Board. In May of 2017, he was elected as President of the UVU chapter. As president, his responsibilities include directing the chapter’s operations, establishing goals of the chapter, delegating responsibilities with the VP’s, motivating members of PRSSA and much more. He has continued to be an asset to the society and will prove to be the same in the professional field following his graduation.
